Carlow will stage the 45th International Pan Celtic Festival in 2017 from 18th April – 22nd April and is looking forward to this great festive event. The committee is drawn from enthusiasts in music, song, dance and tourism offering a variety of skills and expertise.

The International Council consists of 3 representatives appointed from each of the national committees, plus a honorary Chief Executive, who is elected by the organisation. Mr. Con Ó Conaill, who is also the Chairman currently holds this prestigious post. It was Con Ó Conaill who founded Pan Celtic. He was Chief Executive of Cork Kerry Tourism, the Irish Regional Tourism Authority for 15 years. He is also President of the Irish Pipe Bands Association. When he worked in Tralee, Con was active in Conradh na Gaeilge and Glór na nGael, all national associations that promote the Irish language.
